Privacy Policy

Home Ledger is a local-first digital home binder. This policy describes what the mobile app and marketing site do with information — honestly, without invented analytics claims.

Summary

• Core app data stays on your device.
• No account is required for core features.
• We do not sell personal data.
• Camera, photos, and notifications are optional and used only for features you choose.

On-device app data

Rooms, items, warranties, maintenance checklists, photos you attach, and export files are stored on your device (local database and local files). They are not uploaded to our servers by the core app. Uninstalling the app or clearing app data removes this local information from the device (exports you already saved elsewhere remain yours).

Camera and photos

If you grant permission, Home Ledger may use the camera and photo library so you can photograph appliances, serial plates, receipts, and manuals for your inventory. Those images stay on your device unless you share or export them (for example, as part of a claim pack).

Notifications

Optional local notifications (for example, seasonal maintenance reminders) run on your device. You can turn them off in app settings or system settings. Core features work without notifications.

No account required for core

You can use Home Ledger’s core binder features without creating an account. Premium features such as cloud backup are coming later and are not wired in the current free listing. When optional cloud or account features ship, this policy will be updated before those features send data off-device with your consent.

Waitlist and contact email

If you join the waitlist or contact us from the marketing site, you may send an email address (for example via mailto to digilio.nik@gmail.com). We use that address only to respond and to share early-access or launch updates about Home Ledger. The site may also store a local copy of your waitlist email in your browser’s storage for convenience; that copy stays on your device.

What we do not do

• We do not sell personal data.
• We do not run advertising SDKs or sell ads in the core app.
• We do not require location for core features.
• We do not claim third-party analytics or crash reporting in the current MVP unless later added and disclosed here.

Exports and sharing

CSV and PDF insurance claim pack exports are generated on your device. When you share or save them, you choose where they go (email, files, other apps). That sharing is under your control.

Children

Home Ledger is a general-audience home organization tool. It is not directed at children as a primary audience and does not knowingly collect children’s personal information through the core app.

Changes

We may update this policy when features change (for example, when Premium backup ships). The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Material changes that involve sending data off-device will be reflected before those features are enabled.
